knowing what is enough is freedom

Which

is more precious,

fame or health? Which is more

valuable, health or wealth?

Which is more harmful,

winning or

losing?

The more

excessive your love,

the greater your suffering.

The longer you hoard,

the heavier your

losses.

Knowing

what is enough is freedom.

Knowing when to stop is safety.

Practice these, and

you’ll endure.

just breathe

Without thought,

without mind, without self,

there is only freedom. The direct,

reliable, and perfect means of

achieving this is to become

wholly absorbed in

the breath.

pray for knowledge and light

paul newman, bodhisattva

Mentally repeat,

‘Let all beings be happy;

let all beings be peaceful; let all

beings be blissful.’ So do to the east,

south, north and west. The more you do

that the better you will feel yourself. You will

find at last that the easiest way to make ourselves

healthy is to see that others are healthy, and the

easiest way to make ourselves happy is to see

that others are happy. After doing that,

those who believe in God should pray—

not for money, not for health, nor

for heaven; pray for knowledge

and light; every other

prayer is selfish.
