Keep yourself simple,
good, guileless, dignified, unpretentious,
devoted to justice, pious, kind, affectionate to others,
and resolute in carrying out your proper tasks. Strive to be and
remain the kind of person philosophy would have you be.

There’s only one crop to be reaped from your
time on earth, and that is a reverential
disposition and socially

Whenever we
indulge in judgements about others,
we obstruct our own peace of mind and progress.
We should choose instead to see the best in others,
allow them to come and go as they will, and
turn our energies inward, toward
self-improvement.

Knowing
others is intelligence;
knowing the self is enlightenment.
Conquering others is power; conquering
the self is strength. Know what is enough, and
you’ll be rich. Persevere, and you’ll develop

always be at home. Die without
