I had the same problem in my apartment the day of the power surge (power out to half of the unit, none of the circuit breakers tripped) but luckily came through it largely unscathed. It took out only my time capsule, which thankfully Apple replaced for free. I'm regularly impressed with your willingness to speak your mind, and this recent choice of a worthy battle to wage against Farmers (and now Skadden) is inspirational.
